School Fund 

Thank you to all our parents who have already submitted their School Fund. If you have not already done so, please forward it to the school office. A contribution of £20 per child or £30 per family is requested.

School Council

Our 2013 School Council and Eco Councils are now established. Representatives from P4 to P7 have been elected by their classroom peers and will meet regularly with Mr Mackle to look at ways of improving our school. Our Eco Council with representatives from P2 to P7 will meet with Mrs Comiskey to put in place environmentally friendly routines throughout the school.

Breakfast Club Donation

Thank you to the St. Vincent de Paul Society for the kind donation of £300 to our school Breakfast Club. This is very much appreciated and will be used to purchase games and toys for our youngest children. 

Non-Uniform Day

A non-uniform day will be held on Friday 25th October. Children are asked to donate £1 towards School Fund. Children may dress up in Halloween costumes if they wish. 

First Penance

First Penance will take place on Thursday 24th October at 7pm in the Church of St. Therese.

Coffee Morning

Our PTA will host a coffee morning in the assembly hall on Tuesday 22nd October from 9am to 10am. All parents are invited to attend especially our new parents in P1 and pre-school.

Halloween Disco

A Halloween (fancy dress) Disco organised by our PTA, will take place in the school hall on Friday 25th October from 7pm to 9pm. Prizes for the best dressed. Admission £3.

Fit To Help

The school's annual 'Fit to Help' fundraiser will take place on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th October. Each child has been issued a sponsorship form. On return of the sponsor form and sponsor money each child will receive a wrist band and will be entered into the school raffle. With your support we hope there will be a great response to our school fundraising event. 

Reading online with e-books

Join in the new way of reading! Children love using the computer, laptop or iPad to read. Lots of books have audio to support their reading and the size of the text and colour of backgrounds can be changed.

Oxford Owl www.oxfordowl.co.uk has a wide range of e-books that you can read online/ipad. Watch the excellent videos from reading specialists on how to help your child with reading at home. To join online, all you need is an email address and create a password.

www.librariesni.org.uk Northern Ireland Libraries has a massive range of e- books. All you need is your library number to 'borrow' books online. 

World Mission Sunday

Mission Sunday Mass will take place on Sunday 20th October at 12 noon in St. Therese. All families are encouraged to attend. 

Credit Union

The Credit Union will commence after Halloween. A letter will be issued to parents of P1 children who may wish to join.

School PTA

The next meeting of the School PTA will take place on Tuesday 16th November at 7.30pm. All parents are encouraged to attend.

P6 Halloween Assembly

The P6 Halloween assembly will take place on Friday 25th October at 11.15am in the school hall. All parents are welcome to attend. 

School Closures

School will be closed for children from Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November for the midterm break.

School Certificates

Congratulations to Ellie Gibbs, Helen Vaughan, Issac Tugwell, Darerca Vint, Courtney Finlay, Ciaran Mone, Cliodhna Wolfe, Jordan Pearce, Aine McCorry, Caolan O'Rourke, Thomas McGrath, Niall Simpson, Callum Cull, David Ferguson, Kerri Egan, Ella-Rose Quinn, Michael Woods, Ruairi Murphy and Ryan Byrne on being awarded a class certificate for good work during the week commencing Monday 15th October.
