Recently our Primary 7 pupils visited Tesco store Castlewellan Rd for a competition called 'Price Challenge.' There were two teams of five from St. Mary's PS against two teams from Abercorn PS. The children had the opportunity to carefully price items out on the shop floor, use the tills, taste various foods for quality and compare value for money. They had a fantastic experience with Cathy, Joan and Adam providing all our children with everything they needed and more.
It was a very close race as the competition was neck and neck until the last few rounds, however victorious on the day were James Curran, Aaron Stokes, Fiontan Keenan, Darragh McDowell and Brian Fitzpatrick. Congratulations to all the children who took part and again a big thank you to Cathy and her team at Tesco, we really had a great day.
