On Friday 17th November the St Mary's community showed their support for our P7 pupil Sarah-Jane with BLUE DAY. Primary 7 pupils presented an assembly for Key Stage 2 classes, helping them understand what diabetes is and how Sarah-Jane manages her diabetes. Sarah-Jane then visited Key Stage 1 classes to explain a little about diabetes and answer any questions pupils had. Proceeds from this special day will go to T1DCAT, a charity that supports children and teenagers in Northern Ireland with Type 1 diabetes.
