Hooray! Our new sensory room is now open! The Zen Den is a much-needed calming and relaxing space to support our pupils who have social, behavioural, sensory, emotional wellbeing and mental health needs.We converted a PE changing room and are equipping the Zen Den with an exciting range of equipment including a ball pool, squeeze machine, squeeze seat, hammock, junior jumper, bean bags, weighted blankets/neck & lap pads, sensory resources, fibre optic lighting, bubble tubes, tactile walls and sensory flooring. It is still a work in progress and we will be adding to the Zen Den year on year.
A huge thank you to our PTA for their generous donation, to Mr O Hagan for a generous school fund contribution and to all our parents and children in our recent Zen Day fundraising. And a massive thank you to Mr Devlin for all his hard work and time in helping us to put the room together- and all done with a smile and a “no problem!”
