Blow Painting in Mrs Quigley's Primary 2
We created beautiful artwork today by blowing colourful paint across the paper using straws!
A wonderful activity for young children with bright, colour-blended, abstract results.
It is a very simple technique that encourages exploration, investigation and a little bit of scientific thought!
Instructions: Dilute paint with water. Squeeze a small droplet of the liquid onto heavy paper. Blow at the paint through a short straw. Blowing will force the paint to move along the paper in tiny rivulets. Repeat with different coloured paint. Watch as the paint merges.
Learning objectives: Creativity: Investigating a range of materials and combining them, exploring colour mixing.
Science: Using air to make things move, investigating and experimenting with answering a challenge.
Motor Skills: Hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, pincer grip.
