Danske Bank Outdoor Project

As part of our participation in the Danske Bank Outdoor Learning Garden project with Eco-Schools, our Primary 5 children took part in a fun harvesting workshop today.  Earlier in the year, our pupils were involved in planting an orchard area, with strawberry and raspberry bushes, along with pear, apple and plum trees.  Today, we worked with the Eco-Schools team to make delicious fruit pots and homemade apple juice, sampling some of the fruits that we were able to harvest.  We look forward to our next workshop in November when we will be able to prune our fruit trees and bushes, as well as discussing composting and winter care for our orchard area.
