Festive Fun on Green Day in P2 Mrs Quigley's class.
We celebrated St Patrick's Day in school with a Shindig. a vibrant and engaging immersion in Irish culture. We dressed in green clothing and accessories, symbolising the colour most associated with St Patrick and Ireland
The day was filled with various activities that highlighted the rich traditions of Ireland. Our children were treated to lively performances of Irish songs, showcasing our musical heritage. Traditional Irish dances, such as the energetic jigs and reels, were performed, and pupils were encouraged to join in and learn some steps. We were treated to Irish instruments like the fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhrán, which added to the festive atmosphere.
These celebrations provided entertainment and offered educational insights into Ireland's history and cultural significance.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our children to experience the joy and spirit of St. Patrick's Day through song, dance, and music.
Primary 2 would like to thank Michaela and Aaron Sands, parents of Arianna, for the St Patrick's Day parcel that arrived into our class today. A basket full of skipping ropes, one for every boy and girl. What a surprise! Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
