The F. E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio is dedicated to the memory of sculptor Frederick Edward McWilliam, one of Ireland’s most influential and successful artists. F. E. McWilliam was born in Banbridge on the 30th of April 1909. He died in London in 1992. The executors of his estate donated the sculptor’s studio and its contents to the town of his birth. His work is on display in this local gallery.
We had a memorable outing to the gallery today. The children were very engaged in the clay workshop. They are very proud of the sculptures they created.
Their masterpieces will be ready for collection when they dry out.
