Dyslexia Awareness Week
World Dyslexia Awareness Week 7th-13th October and World Dyslexia Day 8th October.
Dyslexia Awareness Week 2024 is an important campaign that aims to increase understanding and awareness of dyslexia, a learning difference that affects reading, writing, and spelling. This event provides an opportunity to highlight the strengths and talents of individuals with dyslexia and to promote inclusive education. Dyslexia Awareness Week encourages people to learn more about dyslexia, challenge misconceptions, and support those affected by this learning difference.
Here at St. Mary's we are a Dyslexia Friendly School. We embrace the positives of dyslexia and celebrate the holistic child and their skills and strengths in all curricular and non-curricular areas.
