Day 4 began with our European teachers delivering a range of cultural and art based lessons in Primary 1, Primary 2, Primary 4, Primary 5 and Primary 7. Our European partners introduced their countries, culture and traditions to our pupils and completed their lessons with a practical art activity. All of the pupils involved thoroughly enjoyed learning about other countries and making a range of traditional crafts.
In the afternoon, we visited Ballydougan pottery for a bite of lunch and then Sean, (the resident potter) took us into the pottery workshop and demonstrated making a jug using the potter's wheel. Following this, we all experimented with clay and created a piece unique to each partner country. The finished pieces will be fired in the kiln and pieced together to create a wonderful collage for our project @museart.
