Paul Evans, Stevie G, Pixie and Andy... all from Evo's Soccer School... visited St Mary's today to talk to our younger children about their own personal love of books and reading.
Paul Evans, the local legend that he is, showcased another one of his many talents, when he read a story, The Jungle Jive, to a captivated young audience. Stevie, Pixie and Andy enhanced the story telling session, joining in with actions, dance and song. The reaction from our children was sheer delight.
The staff of St Mary's are keen to raise the profile of reading within the school, and recognise the importance of instilling a love of reading in all our children. We were so pleased to have such positive male role models, share their love of reading with our boys and girls.
Evo's Soccer School is always keen to support the youth in our local and wider community, in any way it can. Your contribution to the social, physical and emotional development of the young generation of Banbridge and beyond, is widely recognised.
