Computer System Upgrade
Please be aware that the school's computers and network system will be undergoing an upgrade during the week beginning Monday 27 January. Office staff and teachers will not have access to pupil records or any files held on the school's IT system during this week.
Christmas Photography
The final chance for orders of photographs or DVD will be Friday 31 January. Anyone wishing to place an order for photographs or DVDs may view these at www.creativelightphotography.co.uk. Please order by contacting Steve Ewart on 07966210828.
Coin Drive
The PTA Coin Drive will take place on Friday 14 February. Children are asked to bring any loose change from home on Friday. Each class will, in turn, have an opportunity to create their own designs and pictures in hall. The class with the heaviest amount of coins collected will receive a prize. The coins will then be counted and donated to the PTA. Thank you for your continuing support.
Half Term
The school will be closed from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2014 for the half term holiday.
Cross Country
Well done to our Cross Country team who took part in their third race at Banbridge Academy on Wednesday. The girls and boys again did extremely well in much improved conditions compared to previous races. Well done, again, to Emer McGrane and Taylor Hill who were the first girl and boy home for St. Mary's.
Post Primary Transfer
Post Primary Transfer Forms for P7 children will be issued to children in P7 shortly. Parents should complete the forms and return to their child's teacher before Friday 7 February. A prompt return would be appreciated. Please contact Mr O'Hagan if you have any queries regarding completion of the form.
Congratulations
Congratulations to the school football team who reached the semi final of the annual Kilkeel indoor football tournament last Wednesday. After winning their group the boys were defeated in the semi-final by the hosts, Kilkeel Primary School. Well done to Daniel McGivern and Donal Scullion, both boys had an outstanding tournament. Thank you to Mr Devlin for taking the boys to the tournament.

After School Clubs
Fun Fit will commence on Thursday 23 January for P1 to P3 from 2.00pm to 3.00pm and for P4 to P7 pupils from 3.00pm to 4.00pm. Please note Fun Fit will take place in the school canteen.
School PTA
The next meeting of our PTA will take place on Tuesday 25 February at 7.30pm. All support is greatly appreciated.
Tea towels are still available from the school office, if required.
