Anyone hungry? As part of our life skills lessons, we made ham sandwiches today! The children watched a video for step by step instructions and then put their knowledge into practice. It was a busy cross curricular lesson, linking with our fractions topic as they decided to cut the whole sandwich into halves or quarters- and then gobbled them all up! Linking also with our PDMU social situations lessons, we chatted about social cues and etiquette- they all had such lovely manners and showed wonderful talking and listening skills. They have all promised to tell mums and dads they will be making their own lunch in future!
