W5 visited St. Mary's and Abercorn PS on the 9th and 10th May to provide the children, with the opportunity of working in teams, to build bridges. The challenge was that the bridge had to at least 50cm long and be able to hold a 1 kilogram weight. The children had great fun contstructing the bridges and some bridges even exceeded the challenge, by being able to hold 3 kilograms. A big thank you to W5 for this wonderful active learning experience.
