REACHING OUT WITH KINDNESS HAMPERS
This week our whole school came together to celebrate 'Anti - Bullying Week 2022.' The theme this year was 'REACHING OUT' and our whole school community really did, just that. Each class came together and brought in items for their class Kindness Hamper. The generosity and love in each Hamper was very evident to see, everyone deserves to be commended.
A big thank you to Cathy Skillen (Tesco) for donating boxes, Mr Sean Devlin for distribution, school staff for helping to prepare the Hampers - they look amazing! Also, a big thank you to our School PTA for providing much needed financial support to make this wonderful initiative work.
Every child in school received stickers to celebrate and promote this week. Some prizes were given out to celebrate REACHING OUT towards others. This may have been, noticing someone needing help, being courageous to stand up for others, and demonstrating ways we can help outside of school, especially in our families and our wider community.
Finally, I want to thank our families and our children for filling the Hampers, with your support and kindness, you will be providing a much needed boost for a family during this Christmas period. At St. Mary's we are very proud of you! Thank you for REACHING OUT so much!
