School Council Visit The Lord Mayor
Our elected school council recently had the pleasure of visiting The Lord Mayor, Julie Flaherty in the Civic Buildings. It was a fantastic experience and one I am sure our young people will not forget. She answered some really tricky questions and gave advice about becoming a councillor in the future. The children really represented the school in a positive light and learned a lot. The school council and I would like to thank The Lord Mayor for being so welcoming and approachable with the children.
Also, Pauline and I would like to thank Miriam McAleavey for organising the trip and promoting the event, it was a great success.
A local news reporter was taking a lot of pictures so I am sure it will be in our local papers within the next few weeks.
