School Fund
Thank you to all our parents who have already submitted their School Fund. If you have not already done so, please forward it to the school office. A contribution of £20 per child or £30 per family is requested.
First Penance
First Penance for our P4 children will take place on Thursday 16th October at 7pm in the Church of St Therese. Children should be seated by 6.50pm. A date for First Communion is yet to be confirmed.
Maths Puzzle Challenge
The Happy Puzzle Company will visit our school on Wednesday 1st October and Thursday 2nd October.
The idea of the programme is to give the pupils the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned during the day, whilst adding new challenges for the whole family to solve.
On Wednesdy 1st October from 7.00pm there will be a Parents and Family puzzle evening in the school hall. Please note places are limited to 120 participants only. Thank you to our PTA for helping to fund the event.
Cancer Awareness Pink Day
The school will host a Pink Day on Friday 3rd October for Cancer Awareness. All children may wear something pink or their own clothes on the day and parents are asked to donate a £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Coffee Morning
Our annual PTA coffee morning will take place in the school assembly hall on Friday 3rd October from 9.00am to 11.00am. All parents are invited to attend especially our new parents in P1 and pre-school to meet memebrs of our PTA and memebrs of staff.
Parent Information Meetings
Thank you to all our parents who were able to attend the Parent Information Meetings last week. The postponed P1/ P2 Information Meeting will take place in the school hall on Thursday 2nd October from 7.00pm.
PTA AGM
Thank you to all our parents and staff who were able to attend the recent PTA Annual General Meeting. It was good to see such a large turnout.
At the PTA AGM the following committee members were proposed and seconded.

Parent Teacher Meetings
Please note Parent Teacher Meetings will take place on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th October from 9.00am.
School Closures
School will be closed for children from Monday 27th October to Friday 1st November (inclusive) for the midterm break.
Fit To Dance
Our annual fundraiser, this year, will take the form of a ‘Fit to Dance’ challenge on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October. Each child will be issued a sponsorship form prior to the event. On return of the sponsor form and sponsor money each child will be entered into a school raffle. With your support we hope there will be a great response to our school’s fundraising event.
Confirmation
This year’s Confirmation for our P7 children will take place on Sunday 19th April at 3pm in the Church of St Therese.
Halloween Disco
A Halloween Disco organised by our PTA, will take place in the school hall on Friday 24th October from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Admission £3.
Football Team Victory
Congratulations to the school football team on winning the EVO 7-Aside tournament at Cheney Park last week.
The boys performed fantastically winning all their games during the tournament. The final with Bridge Primary was a tight affair with St Mary’s winning 1-0.
Well done to all the boys who played fantastically well but a special mention for Captain Donal Scullion, Daniel McGivern and Taylor Hill who all had an excellent tournament.
