St Mary's Staff Awards for The SEN Literacy Project.

Mrs Mc Ardle and Mrs Quinn recently completed The SEN Literacy Project - Understanding Difficulties in Literacy Development: a Whole School Approach. The course, which was jointly run by Stranmillis University and St Mary's University, lasted 18 months and involved Mrs Mc Ardle and Mrs Quinn leading the in- school staff training for the Project. All teaching staff were awarded professional development certificates and Mrs Quinn received a further professional development award for her completion of the Project.

Mrs Mc Ardle, who completed the masters modules for the Project, received Approved Teacher Status for Specialist Teacher in Literacy Difficulties.
