Mr Mackle's class during Science/Technology and ICT Week 2019
The children in P5 have been working hard using ICT to promote and enhance their learning during Science/Tech and ICT week. They have taken part in a number of workshops to develop their digital skills and they have had a lot of topic based lessons with a focus on Science/Technology and Using ICT. Some of the lessons and workshops experienced include:
- Using Sphero technology
- Minecraft Education (Who can build a pyramid fit for a God)
- Produce a class e - book informing people about our topic 'The Egyptians.'
- Using Pic Collage and Book Creator to complete topic work and literacy tasks.
- Using ipad technology to capture shapes which have lines of symmetry.
- Uploading projects to C2K Newsdesk (reporter section).
- Mr Devlin's paper aeroplane challenge.
- Investigating which materials are waterproof (Mesolithic Huts).
The children have worked really hard and enjoyed the Technology and ICT week. They have gained a lot of confidence and are having the opportunity to develop skills which will help them navigate through different areas as the year continues. Well done boys and girls!
