We have a vibrant SEN community within our school and dedicated support for SEN pupils within our mainstream classes and specialist SEN classes.

Provision for pupils with additional/special educational needs is a priority in St. Mary’s Primary School through a whole school approach.

We recognise the right of every pupil to a broad and balanced education tailored to his/her own ability.

We are deeply committed to making the best provision possible for children with additional educational needs in partnership with parents and other agencies.

We aim to provide maximum opportunities for all children and to ensure that all children are valued equally regardless of disability, culture, gender or cognitive development.

We ensure the children have inclusion and integration opportunities into the academic and social life of the school.

We celebrate pupil differences and individuality in annual SEN awareness days.
